Welcome to SBW!
Congrats on already taking the MSF.
Riding your Dad's 125 will help you get your actions fluid; clutching, shifting, braking and accelerating. By the time you get your first bike you'll be a big step ahead of where you first started. Take this time to also learn as much bike maintainence as you can.
When you REEEEEAAAALLLLLY want a bike, you'll save the money. Obviously, it's not priority #1 at the moment.
Don't forget to save money to buy gear.
