shoulda started riding earlier

I'm a new rider but I'm a quick learner. My bike is was brand new, last of the 04 R6's at the dealer. I love this bike. Easy to learn on, very forgiving. A lot of people give us new riders grief about buying a sport bike for a first bike. Ultimately its the rider and his/her judgement, and/or skill which determines their fate. My friends warned me that it'll be uncomfortable after long rides, but it wasn't, for me. We went from Chicago to the Mississippi River, and they were the ones hurting(on cruisers). I took it easy learned the basics and slowly started pushing my limits. Now I can nearly drag my knees.

Sounds like you're doing well. I'd be careful with the knee dragging on the street though. You never know the conditions of the road and in that position you don't have a lot left to react with.

The God of the Old Testament is arguably the most unpleasant character in all of fiction: jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control-freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomanical, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully. - Richard Dawkins, The God Delusion
