Checking in

Just checking in to say Hi. I was searching around on the web for sport bike items and came by the web site. It seems pretty cool so far. I've always been into bikes and am about to acquire my 6th. The only sport bike I have is my buell, but what is life without a little variety!

Welcome...there are a few Buell boys (oops, and girls?) here. You will no doubt be in the minority...but who cares?

As long as you are on two wheels and having fun, that's all that matters.

Thanks for the shout back.

I completely agree with robert. As long as you are out there it doesnt matter what you ride. Most of my friends ride various imports. I get into the older triumphs. I'm restoring a 70 bonneville and have a 71 trophy 500. They can be turned into a cafe style bike pretty easily though.

I like the Aprillas too. You dont see very many of them around the pittsburgh area though. I bet you dont find yourself in the majority either Rick. Im partial to the Ducatis as well.

Its definitely no fun to be just like everyone else.

Agree with you on changeing Triumph irons into Cafe Races as I probably did more Triumphs then any singles along with gobs of special parts over in the UK.

absolutely, i am not in the majority either!! but, i like it that way. everbody likes to customize their ride somehow. i like starting with a bike that isn't very common and take it from there.

After all what is life with out a little diversity. I get a real kick out of watching people walk around an old triumph realizing that the foot controls are reversed. I tend to think each bike is like a blank canvas and they all need some customizing.

I've got another triumph coming that is probably gonna be turned into a cafe. It will take some time as the frame has been chopped.

You definitely have something that is less than common Rick. I know I always take notice when i see one of those running around.
