Cool Very much a newbie

Hi all
Just found this site after nosing around, killing time before I leave for the day and thought I'd say high to all.
Recently got the motorcycle license and have dived in by buying my brothers 1997 CBR F3, which I've just ridden back from MI to NY.
Have luckily inherited his leathers but will hopefully be investing in some new ones for next season.
Quick question for the mechanics out there - when I slowly accelerate between 3-5000 rpm's in most gears, I hear this un-nerving vibration that I think comes from either the gearbox or engine. The sound goes past that rev band or if I accelerate fast - any ideas.
Would also appreciate cornering tips - I'm going far too slow around them at the moment !.
Cheers

Nice bike, but..

If your a really new rider, and have never ridden a bike before now I would get those badass farings off the bike ASAP or get some frame sliders or something to protect them. They look cherry and you don't want to mess them up when you drop it for the first time.

I didn't think I would ever drop my bike so I didn't bother but I ended up dropping it at a stop and it scratched and cracked my farings a bit when it hit.

Every new rider does this, don't think you'll be the exception.

If your not a totally new rider than please accept my apologies and have fun with the new bike!
