So I recently bought myself a 2004 cbr 1000rr. Bike rides smoothly.. everything works fine, however, the previous owner buffed out the frame to expose the chrome. My first ride home was incredible but was a nice long highway ride without much traffic. The next day I was stuck in quite a bit of traffic and I know bikes get hot I have ridden 1000cc bikes on plenty of occasions but the exposed chrome frame becomes unbearably hot. When I say hot i mean like you can't touch it without burning your fingerprints off. I don't want to have to take the bike apart and respray the frame. I am just curious if anyone may have a suggestion for me. Thx.
Well, I wouldn't recommend respraying it either, especially with thermal insulators commercial sprays. I guess this leaves you with no choice other than work on your cooling temperature (fan thermostat, mix coolants,..etc)
