Talking New Bike

Picked up the bike yesterday!

ALl I can say is AWESOME! I had a distance to ride to get back home. Took my time. Made a stop at a deserted and clean parking lot and practiced stopping, turning, shifting, etc.

I have already used the Plexus 3 times on the bike. The saleman I bought it from, thanks Lloyd at Formula 1 in Bay Shore, says he cleans his bike before and after rides. I am just as anal about things like that so I am doing the same.

I have had a month of private lessons which enabled me to pass the road test. I am taking the MSF course in September or October. I don't know which month I will get but I asked for one or the other. Looking forward ot that.

I have ridden all weekend and it feels great. The only thing I have to concentrate on is not putting so much weight on my wrists and forearms. The riding position of the bike makes that tought but I know when I consciously make an adjustment in my riding position, supporting more of my weight on the pegs instead of the wrists, it feels great.

Other than that, the bike has been great! Following all the breakin rules. Going to drop the oil at 100 miles. Suzuki says first time should be at 600 but the guys at the dealer tell me to drop it at 100 and then bring it in at 600 for the first service.

You guys do the same thing?
