Question Motivation

I'm curious, what makes you all motivated to do something? Wether it be for yourself or someone else.

For me its all the crap that people have put me through over the years, I think about that stuff and just really get !

It's work good so far too, I lost 20 pounds in a month, have a little more definition in my upper body, not to mention more stamina .

So what do you all do to get motivated?

As far as weight I dont really care. Im a bit chubby but definatly not fat. Im about 5'10" and 185 pounds. I figure I might as well enjoy food now instead of starve myself, we are all only going to die anyway. My motivation is being better than everyone. I'm very arrogant and like to have the facts and wit to back it up. As far as education goes. Im doing some self study now and plan to go to college, cause I don't wanna be middle class for the rest of my life. Its all about the benjamins.

All depends on what it is, I suppose.

I enjoy doing nice, unexpected things for people, like giving handmade gifts for no reason. I get a kick out of the joy that they get from it. That's my natural high.

My motivation is definately anyone who's better than I am. Any time I think I've gotten better at something, I find someone who's better than I am... and thats just unacceptable. So I push myself to be better than they are. and then I find someone who's still better, and so on and so forth. Its a neverending journey to better myself in mind, body, and spirit. Maybe it's a military thing, I dunno. I was still kinda like that in highschool though. I go to the gym 5-6 times a week, I already graduated with one degree and am working towards another (although I'm really not enjoying or seeing a point in it). Its like your mom told you when you were a kid... "You can do anything you want .... as long as you want it bad enough". Well, thats what my mom said.

I think of all the people I want to fight, and all the people I don't know if i can beat. So I have to get better at my training to make sure that I will win if the chance ever presents itself.

Is your life so empty that you honestly can't think of a better way to spend these moments? Or are you so impressed with authority that you give respect and credence to all who claim it? Do you read everything you're supposed to read? Do you think everything you're supposed to think? Buy what you're told you should want? Get out of your apartment. Meet a member of the opposite sex. Stop the excessive shopping and masturbation. Quit your job. Start a fight. Prove you're alive. If you don't claim your humanity you will become a statistic. You have been warned...... Tyler

I've been thinking about this for a few days. Its so freakin' broad!

Trust, honor and morals reach so deeply they're drivers for a lot of things I do for/with/to others. If I get betrayed, its a bridge burned and motivation to properly respond at a time of my choosing.

As for things I do for others, its mostly about being social and connected (not politically). Spreading person-to-person relationships feels rewarding, for whatever reason.

See, I used to be that way. I would always put other peoples needs before my own. Trying to make sure that THEY are happy, and not me. I decided that that was no longer going to be the case. If some is not happy with me, or who I am I'm me, Take it or leave it and most of......DEAL WITH IT!

What motivates me the most are the screams of the people I keep in a pit in my backyard.
