Armed robbery?

Quote:
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Maryland prosecutors have filed charges against an 8-year-old boy who shot and wounded a 7-year-old girl after threatening to rob her at a suburban day-care center, The Washington Post said on Wednesday.

The boy's father, "a felon with a lengthy record," was arrested and charged with leaving a firearm within reach of an unsupervised minor and other offenses after the Tuesday shooting, the Post said.

The third-grader had sneaked his father's .38-caliber revolver into the facility in his backpack on Tuesday, the paper said, quoting law-enforcement officials. He had been suspended in the past for bringing a weapon to school.

Police had initially said the boy accidentally shot the girl, a second-grade student, as a group of six children were attending a before-school program at the For Kids We Care day-care center in Germantown, Maryland, a Washington suburb.

But the Post said, "The sources said the boy threatened to rob the girl and then fired the gun once, striking her in the upper right arm."

The girl was reported in stable condition in a Washington hospital on Tuesday night, the paper said.

The boy "was charged as a juvenile with numerous counts that police declined to outline," it said. He was placed in the custody of the Maryland Department of Juvenile Services.

The father should be horse whipped in public, and the kid should be put in jail for 3 days to help in his future decision making ..

Slap the kid on the wrist and say bad boy is what will happen with all the PC bull crap they will blame it on video games or TV or they will use the ( twinkie defense, ) too much sugar caused him not to think rationally...

we do actually need a jail for pre teen violent kids..I know a few who should be in jail as at 10yrs old 2 have actually stabbed people... They got no punishment , so they think its ok to hurt people..

WARNING
If you are reading this then this warning is for you. Every word you read of this useless fine print is another second off your life. Don't you have other things to do? Is your life so empty that you honestly can't think of a better way to spend these moments? Or are you so impressed with authority that you give respect and credence to all who claim it? Do you read everything you're supposed to read? Do you think everything you're supposed to think? Buy what you're told you should want? Get out of your apartment. Meet a member of the opposite sex. Stop the excessive shopping and masturbation. Quit your job. Start a fight. Prove you're alive. If you don't claim your humanity you will become a statistic. You have been warned...... Tyler

that kid is rotten and beyond redemption, throw him into a wood chipper! -just kidding-
he should be convicted of ADW made a ward of the State and sent to a re-education camp; like the Marine Corps, and his parents should be jailed for 100 years for not educating the little brat about proper handling of a firearm.

Build a man a fire, and he is warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he is warm for the rest of his life.

Everything I know I learned from killing smart people and eating their brains.

Finally it came on the Cdn news, only they really toned it down like one 8yr old boy showing the gun to another youngster when the accidently went off with a shot to the arm. That makes it sound so accidental & more acceptable to the public & anti-gun people. Fact is it was differnt from the report that I had to watch on another Cdn TV program to realize it was the one as so reported above.
