New Job :-)

Well, after 3 years of working a helpdesk, ( to pay the bills),I'm FINALLY back to being a server admin. :-)
I was picked by several managers to go work at a new aquisition, and bring them up to speed. The place looks like a high end doctor's office with a state of the art server room. Something like a billion dollars worth of transaction go thru there per month...Obviously, it's a high priority, high demand system....Can't have any downtime when you handle people's medical records.. ;-) Money is no object at this place....The Break room has 10 different kinds of soda/ bottled water and they buy lunch for everyone on Fridays... I'm SOOOO psyched it's not even funny....At least I'll get to work on multiple platforms....UNIX, Linux, Win2000 server, Win 2003 server , VMS, and exchange server....I swear, It's like I'm dreaming....I didn't think I'd EVER get the chance to be an admin again..(not alot of jobs out where I am, after 9/11..

Half hour isn't bad, that's about the shortest I've ever had. I could live closer to work, but don't want to. A longer commute gives you more time to ride, weather permitting. There is always a plus.

Congrats my friend! That is awesome that you got a good IT job. I hope that when I get out of the military, I can find work as a network security / ISSM

WARNING
If you are reading this then this warning is for you. Every word you read of this useless fine print is another second off your life. Don't you have other things to do? Is your life so empty that you honestly can't think of a better way to spend these moments? Or are you so impressed with authority that you give respect and credence to all who claim it? Do you read everything you're supposed to read? Do you think everything you're supposed to think? Buy what you're told you should want? Get out of your apartment. Meet a member of the opposite sex. Stop the excessive shopping and masturbation. Quit your job. Start a fight. Prove you're alive. If you don't claim your humanity you will become a statistic. You have been warned...... Tyler
