i've been 27 since december. i never felt old until last night. a co-worker was too shy to hit on our waitress, so i was trying to talk to her, to get her to come around. she told me she has never seen all in the family, doesn't really remember Ron Reagan, knows that Johnny Carson hosted the tonight show, but never saw him on it, she never saw scar face or bazzling saddles, it was bad.

what was funnier, is another co-worker was out of high school when our 22 year old waitress was born. so you're not that old.

don't worry 27 isn't that bad, but i think it's the first transistion to older and wiser.

btw, happy b-day

I'll be 28 in October, and I think its all a mind thing...I still get carded for beer and cigs (I guess I look kinda young), but I know I'm just a bit more responsible than I was when I was 18 (being married will do that to you ...

But just in the last couple years I've started doing the fun things....owning a motorcycle...monetarily able to do just about anything I want...I just passed my closed water certification for SCUBA last night and I've got a dive trip planned for the 18th to get my open water certification...

The trick here is to limit your responsibilty...don't have kids, do have cats if you're going to have a pet (you can leave them for the weekend and don't have to worry about them)...Keep it simple...knowing this, I've managed to have more fun doing the cool things than I did when I was in college and broke...

just my .02

Being only 25 years of age, I feel it is OK for me to say: Yes, 27, is very old.

Well, Happy Birthday anyways!

27 WOW! I think you're old enough to do wheelies now.

27 is not old... at least I hope it's not. I'm going to be 34 in a couple of weeks.

Damn Will, carded for beer an cigs at your age? What, do you bleach your hair and wear baggy jeans that drag the ground?

I do agree, putting off kids is the only way to go if you want toys...my wife's only 24 so she has to stomach that load...pun intended

Hey, Drew, 27 isn't that bad -- I've been 27 since 1990, and I still feel 25!

It's all in the attitude! (Okay, it doesn't hurt that I still look pretty young...) But I've got you guys beat -- last week, I got carded twice! And no, it wasn't at a place with a sign saying "We card if you look under 50"! Nope, these were straight-up, "Let me see your ID, kid!" kind of situations. I love telling them that when I turned 21, Ronald Reagan was still in his first term! Hee hee!
