Question

I'm not being a wise a$$ or anything, but why would ANYONE want to pierce their tongue???All it will do for you is ruin the enamel on your teeth and make you REALLY prone to infections..Just curious???BTW Tattoos aren't cool anymore?????Jimmy G

Question

i agree with jimmy on this one, GET REAL (ok that was a flame, sorry)

...but honestly, i had ear pierced when i was 23 and that was enough mutilation for me (hehe) havent worn an earring for over 4 years now though, some things we outgrow.

As far as tattoos? I think they are fine, unless you go all out and do the Chili Peppers style messed up body art museum thing, thats just a tad wreckless (IMHO) i said IMHO!!!

btw, IMHO

A few months back, I started stretching my bottom lip with those disks like you see the natives using in Africa. My goal is to have it stretched out far enough so that I can empty an entire can of Copenhagen in there at once.

I had my tongue pierced a few years back, it was cool but it had rubbed my gums down a bit so I decided to take it out. Be careful and ALWAYS check your teeth and gums, man it was a drag to find out that it was starting to mess up my teeth.... it wasnt too bad but I could notice that it was starting to have an effect. Another thing.... don't play with it and rub it accross your teeth like all of the other peeps do, it's not good for your enamel and it gets annoying

I don't want to discourage you cuz I know quite a few peeps with it and they have had it for years with no probs... just be careful.

Speaking of piercings.... I have my neck pierced, three barbels meaning three rows like the tongue except they go horizontal. Pretty cool and chix dig it It's also quite the conversation starter at the bars.

Hey jimmyjr, Tats will always be cool I have two big tats on my calves all tribal... it's just a form of expression and body art. Some people get it and some don't... piercing is kind of like gettin a tat... you get that adrenaline (sp) rush and that funky feelin when it's done. It's all good

If you guys knew me, you would be amazed to know that I had my tongue pierced about 3 years ago. It didnt really hurt having it done, but DAMN it was sore for a month! I took it out one night and in the morning, it wouldnt go back in

SP, on the subject of pictures, I know that RCJohn wants to see your pics after you get those next two phases of piercings done, especially the last one.

The thing about judging peoples' appearance on a message board, is that you never really know who you're dealing with. Wouldn't it be a surprise to find out that someone you really respected on the board turned out to be a pierced and tattooed freak?

The same goes for being racist or sexist, or any other form of extreme belief, for that matter. Here, you're interacting with people based simply on what they express in words, not on their appearance. If you like someone because of how they act, and what they say, what does it matter if they're black, Jewish, tattooed, fat, gay, or anything else?

I don't want to sound all heavy and serious, but it's just something I think people should start considering, now that the Net is turning the world into a single community...

Can't we all just get along???
