Grape or Giraffe?

Okay this is bugging the crap out of me... I've never heard anyone actually say the word aloud so I have to ask... It's sort of like the LiNUX thing (Line-ucks or Linn-ix)...

Gixxer how do you pronounce it when you say it.

I am assuming it's a soft 'G' as in Giraffe.... like jickser?

am I wrong?

I always assumed it was gickser but I heard Dave Despain on SPEED pronounce it jickser, and he must be right.

Naw, it's pronounced with a soft "G", as in French. And in reality, in French it translates to "Boat Anchor".

Our greatest challenge in life is living up to our own potential.

If I hear someone say Ghyx-er (the soft g like gheto with some h to it) it's like nails on a black board.

"jixer" is appropriate as it's how the G in G-S-X-R sounds IMO.

I hear ya CBR Bro but they bring it on themselves with these alphabet soup bikes. 4 syllables is too long for casual conversation and gets annoying. G-S-X-R versus jix-er, small difference but I'm lazy and not alone.

WARNING
If you are reading this then this warning is for you. Every word you read of this useless fine print is another second off your life. Don't you have other things to do? Is your life so empty that you honestly can't think of a better way to spend these moments? Or are you so impressed with authority that you give respect and credence to all who claim it? Do you read everything you're supposed to read? Do you think everything you're supposed to think? Buy what you're told you should want? Get out of your apartment. Meet a member of the opposite sex. Stop the excessive shopping and masturbation. Quit your job. Start a fight. Prove you're alive. If you don't claim your humanity you will become a statistic. You have been warned...... Tyler

I'm with ya there. North America seems to be plagued by alpha-numeric designations, while Europe gets the cool names like Fireblade and Thundercat etc..
