YZF600R / YZF750 new chain question

Hi guys,
I bought a 2002 YZF600R bike. It has been modified (bought this way) with a 98' YZF750 Engine. It appears that I have stretched the chain enough to be replaced. I am trying to figure out what chain I would need? I don't know enough to distinguish whether the 750 chain or the 600 chain (if there is even a difference) was used. I was going to buy a sprocket and chain kit. But, I am fairly certain I can't do it that way. I would think that the front sprocket is different because it's a 750 engine.

My question is: How can I tell what I would need? Sprockets aside, I want to figure out what chain was used.

Is it feasible that maybe the front and rear sprockets are 750? or can you mix and match the 2?

Thanks in advance
