Check the idle adjust.

Check for vacuum leaks

If the bike is carbed, see of the chokes are sticking open.

Perhaps some debris is keeping the butterflies or slides or whatever you have from closing.

thanks! i have adjusted the idle sevreal times it almost seems that it keeps changing cause ive turned it down a couple times without ever turning it up. I will check vac lines, i jus put the bike back together after some trans work so i could see a prob with the vac lines or chokes

I spent a lot of time in Milwaukee....Are your cables (choke and throttle) corrosion-free & smooth-operating? The choke slide and plungers? Cables routed exactly as they were before you started with the trans?
Not enough slack in the accelerator cable can cause the idle irregularity.
