airbox/filter

so this may sound stupid...but when are you supposed to change out your air filter!? i bought my f4i with 7,000 on it...it now has 21,000 and haven't touched the filter at ALL.

took the tank off and such to have a look...that bitch looked like new still?
am i even supposed to change the filter out? looked good to me? i was going to buy a K&N or the pipercross from that group buy..but after looking at the filter..i dunno

looks ok but blow it out with your air compressor anyway, a K& N will increase HP but you need to remap for more air in your F/A ratio

Be careful when blowing out a filter. It's very easy to damage or tear a pleat and not know it.

A new filter is a bunch cheaper than a dusted engine.

Agreed it's much better to just change it.

Instead of blowing it with air compressor, take a vacuum cleaner to it
