Let's see the current layout with a black background. Absolutely not the GREEN one .

I liked the colors a few days ago Robert, most of those are too bright IMHO. I think you took some yellows out, and added a blue right? The light blue, and bluish grey are some of my favorite colors for forums, very easy on the eyes, and looks smooth. I can't remember exactly how it was, it was similiar to how it is now, I guess you just made a few subtle changes. Oh, I agree the blue smileys are creepy

just my 2c, really cool that you're so open to input

The present color is okay. Just so-so. But it has yet to stop me from hitting the site!
Do not go to the reds. I have been told bright reds like that wear on the eyes faster than other colors. It is true, try looking at a site or some text in red. Bad. The blue is pretty rough as well. Perhaps a blue between the stabyoureyes blue in #2 and #3 and the plain blue we have now. Black background would be bad, leave it white.

Thumbs up NewColorLayout

Absolutely #2. All of the white backgrounds are too "sanitary" and do not mix well w/ any of the other colors. #1- the Red on Black is nice but the red is a little harsh on the eyes, especially if viewing it for any length of time. Leaving it as is, well, I (personally) find it quite bland. Not "eye-catching" in the least. #2 Blue on Black is incredibly appealing. Not too harsh, very "eye-catching" and blends very well together! I know a lot of people view the Red on Black as a Real "BAD-ASS scheme" Well, it looks great on a bike, but I don't think it works well with a web page. Again, a little too harsh on the eyes. The Blue on Black is just "eye-catching" enough to make a person think- "Wow, that's COOL!" Which is exactly what it is, A "COOL" tone for a color scheme and still stands out very well while still keeping it rather "warm" and a pleasure to look at, even for long periods of time! It's also a rather common color that goes w/ many nice Bike schemes. I truly believe that going w/ #2 will really satisfy/please both you and your visitors. I apologize if this is a little long but, this is an IMPORTANT decision to make. I hope my feedback is of help to you. P.S. I LOVE this site. You all do a fantastic job. No matter what color scheme you choose, all of your content will still be the BEST! Best of luck w/ choosing an effective/affective color scheme. I strongly believe both you and your visitors will be REALLY happy with the appealing and effective/affective scheme of Blue on Black! Take care, My best regards to ALL at SBW
