I'm trying out Opera 5 internet browser and was wondering what others thought about it?

I do have a question. It seems to be working pretty well, except the SBW has no background colors, lines etc. The screen is white except for black text and blue, linked text. Is this normal or just a compatibility issue?

I would imagine its a compatibility issue...the html and other code that is used here may not be understood by "Opera". (never heard of this till now, but you've got me curious...).

It's a freebie (Opera) and it's "supposed" to load pages faster, so I thought I would try it out. It does eem to be faster, but the way the pages are displayed is kind of annoying. If I can get that worked out I may stick with it.

If you want to try it, I can "help " you with the ad banner.

I dl'd it...looks pretty cool, but my work connection is kinda crappy (we're in the process of replacing multiple T3's with multiple OC3's here at work so its kinda splotchy right now).
Anyway it seems pretty decent, will have to check it out at home.

i actually just d/l it about 2 or 3 wks ago. i love it. i only have 1 complaint.. after i surf for a while & have loaded multiple pages it slows to a crawl & wont even finish loading all of the page sometimes. if i close & then reopen its fine again for a while.

one of my favorite features.. how it saves everything if u close it or even if u turn your computer off w/out a shut down.. re-open & everything u had is still there.
