to the powers that be... WTF is up with the site?????

ok, all day yesterday, and part of today, on this site everytime i try and post something, it loggs me out. i have to log back in, i go to post, it loggs me out. i try to search for new threads, i get logged out. whats the deal. no settings have changed on my computer, i even had to adjust my firewall setting to get this site to even work on my computer, what gives. the other site (1000rr.net) i have no probs at all stayin logged in, posting, ect. only this site. occasionally i have issues like this on .net, but not like this site.

i hope someone out there is going to figure this sheet out real quick. it gets real old logging in 10 times in 4 minutes to check out a site and post in a thread.

thanks, long time poster and member of SBW.

its doing it again, 10x trying to log in to post this thread!!!!!!

to the powers that be. no one has posted in this thread about a possible solution to this ongoing problem.

its happening again. this is really bullsheet trying to check the new posts, making a post, or making a thread. everytime i click on something, it logs me out, and i have to try and log back in. i have never had this many problems logging in to make a post on a site in all the years ive been posting on message boards.

Im done with sbw, fak it. ill post on the other boards that dont boot me off all the time. none of your other sites you guys bought do this crap that i post on frequently, only this site. please work out the bugs.

While we are on the subject of bugs, whats up with the email notification that works only when it wants to?

I had a problem for one day, where it kept telling me that I had been banned permanently and didn't give me a reason. Other than that, I have not experienced any of the problems listed on here.

Vash: I don't have any e-mail notifications turned on, but I might give that a try to see if it does the same thing. Not sure what service you use for e-mail, but have you checked your "spam" or "junk" box (if applicable) to see if they are turning up in there?

I agree, DemonRR, the admin staff around here seems to have jumped ship for the most part. I'm starting to wonder if it was worth the $$, but I'm still holding out hope that things will get better.

Its not the notifications because the same threads would notify me sometimes, and sometimes not. The threads I've been subscribed to before the change always notify me, but the ones I've subscribed to since, only do so occasionally. The thread with the cars was one such example. There is nothing in the spam folder from sbw.

I'm having no login issues so if you haven't already done this, clear out all your cookies and Internet history. This would be particularly important if you're using IE.

As for email notes, I had a problem with that on another site owned by this conglomerate and it caused me to miss a private sale opportunity. I suspect, then, that this is some kind of underlying bug in the software. Of course this assumes you don't have a junk mail filter that's tossing them out
