Ridergroups in searches

I dont know if this is technically possible or not.

Here is the thing. The new posts button is great. Its really an easy way to keep up with whats going on. However it does bring up posts in section I feel I have no buisness reading, for example redline sportbikes, or singapure riders. Normally this isnt a big deal, but the redline guys are very active posters... so trying to find a non redline post is like searching for a needle in a haystack. is there a way to filter those out of the new posts search? (without going thru 18 different pages each time)

Unfortunately I don't think we can, the new post function is an all or nothing thing. Robert looked at it a while back and I don't think he was able to get it working.

I recall this coming up before, perhaps in the Mod forum. Unfortunately it just doesn't seem workable.

I'll hit Mike and Robert up again on it though, maybe things have changed.

My advice to you... do what I do. When you realize you have posted in Redline, appologize. All the redline folks already know im a moron and cant stop posting in their section anyway, so its cool. Doesnt it suck when they are the only ones up so early, and there are no other new posts in the morning?

I pretty much post anywhere, I pay absolutely no attention to what forum I am in.

Both groups are very friendly, and if they really wanted a private escape, could theoretically close their forum to others' use.

That said, I rarely post in their forums unless its something that is literally leaping from my fingertips.

Bah... their site says they want to expand to different chapters. I'll be the first one to contact them the very second anything is mentioned about expanding to Maine.

Instead of waiting for them to branch out, you could contact them to start setting up a chapter yourselves. I believe Bluto is the current president, and having talked to him a couple of times he's a very approachable guy.
