POST Tracking

Sorry, but I am bored at work...

What ever happened to the post count in the user info box, and the total post counts. I always like to search out top posters, and then see what the hell they spend their time typing about.

Also I am amazed at the guys with like 4000 posts in a year or some crazy count. Thanks for your look.

I removed them because some people were posting one word messages just to raise their post count.

right on

That makes sense Robert, and I guess that cuts into bandwidth and server speed? Not sure but if so..... Maybe all the avetars could be done away with too. I mean it is cool to see some of the pics we make, but doesn't that increase page loadup time. If I am wrong then sorry for wasting space and time.

I for one wouldn't like to see the avatars go. I think they add alot of character to the site.

Hysysde-- I agree 100%, but I was just thinking in terms of site load-up, reliability, and functionality. Yes they do add character, but IF it was a matter of holding up what is important, i.e. script loading, then MAYBE avetars should be CONSIDERED non essential and done away with.

OK thats that

Thanks ELO...great tip. I have DSL so my load up is not too bad, but I recall when in Army barracks times I would connect at 33k on a 56k modem. Those phone line systems are terrible. I guess I was just thinking, IF he was trying to increase bandwidth, then that could help.
