2013 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R Review


It's hard to believe a decade has gone by since the first 636cc Kawasaki ZX-6R first came to our shores. The beefed up middleweight shook up the category with its displacement advantage over its rivals, and with the 600cc ZX-6RR variant being sold alongside, both racers and street riders were happy. But in 2007, after four years of success, Team Green stuck with tradition and axed the 636 from its lineup to continue with a 599cc version.

However, with many manufacturers focusing on literbike updates lately, the middleweight category has remained relatively stagnant, save for a freshened up Suzuki GSX-R600 in 2011, and, of course, MV Agusta's beautiful F3. Known for shaking up the status quo, Kawasaki is looking to jolt some life back into the class with the 2013 ZX-6R. The magic number behind the new ZX: 636.

The kawasaki ninja zx-6r is a good and amazing sports bike, it was introduced in 1995, this is having several series of bikes. Because of this features like Front Brakes, Rear Suspension / wheel travel, Fuel Capacity, Seat Height, Warranty and high transmission speed etc... so it is having great demand in the market.

Hello Members,

Kawasaki hopes to stimulate the sportbike world with the return of a cult classic: the 636-powered 2013 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R. Team Greenís latest creation overlooks antiquated engine capacity limitations by incorporating a stroked 600cc-based engine to boost acceleration right where you need it whether your ride on the street or track. The basic architecture of the Ninjaís liquid-cooled Inline-Four engine, including its case and 67mm bore dimension, is the same. Piston stroke however has been increased 2.6mm to 45.1mm. This nets a 37cc increase in engine displacement. Other key updates include the fitment of pistons with an updated crown design to accommodate the revised high lift valve timing specification. New shorter connecting rods and a new crankshaft were also installed while the engineís compression ratio was reduced slightly by 0.4 to 12.9:1 due to the bump in engine capacity.

I like this bike so much. The bike will have R17 sizes of tyres. Kawasaki may launch single variant of this bike in three different colors.

I love Bikes....

It has become fashionable to disregard middleweight sports bikes of late, but riding the ZX-6R gives a reminder of why the class was so popular not long ago. Unlike many rivals, the Ninja is also respectably practical, comfortable and enjoyable at less than nine-tenths pace. And itís considerably less expensive than a bigger sports bike, while having enough style, performance and high-tech features to keep most riders happy.

I love kawasaki. However i think it was a waste to bring the 636 back out. this should've been the 750 cause the zx6 before this was doing the job just fine. it was killing the track and the competition^_^
