Pffft...based on what exactly?? Private research groups, omitted cities and incomplete data?? What a joke!! I'm sorry, tell me why this is news? I wonder if New Orleans was part of this research.
They release their conclusion but not their numbers? Please, thats a joke. They just about said they made these numbers up. I dont see why this even made this far. I guess its cause its a nice cataclysmic claim.
"What I take exception to is the use of these statistics and the damage they inflict on a number of these cities," said Mayor Robert Duffy, chairman of the Criminal and Social Justice Committee for the U.S. Conference of Mayors.
The criticizm is no better. Instead of criticizing the lack of transparency behind the data, or desputing its conclusions, this guy claims that the publishing any conclusion hurts cities with bad publicity and shouldnt be done. Come on now, I want to know which is really the most dangerous city in the state (pretty sure its NO), There havent been many problems that have been solved by denial.
I'm very happy when I dont need to go south of 26 mile. :twofinger
