Tell me road sign replacement isn't a govt operation

So 'they' replaced a bunch of road signs on some of the roads up north. New signs were pounded into the ground in front of the old ones, and then left the old ones there.
So the plan must be to pay another team of yahoos to go back out and remove the old signs later? - in our cash strapped State.

An explanation for this escapes me as I prepare to pay my summer taxes.
Anyone?

Isn't that how unions work?

I remember being at a show for work and we were setting up the booth. We needed a carpet union, an electrical union, the seperate union for bringing our stuff to us and about 5 others. However, I remember the carpet union not being able to help us until the electical union came first.....so the carpet guys just sat around and waited.....LOL

See, wouldn't that be a great idea? Get the local prison guys to take them out. That could be our tax dollars at work!!

That explains why the upped the speed limit on 696 and many other freeways down here and said there is no money to replace the signs.
