If I were on the bike I would have let off around 130, knowing that jetwash might play a factor,

Kick ass video.

Hurry up, hit 130+, on the breaks hard, hoping I'm still on the bike when I see the jet airborn.

That is a great video, I always wondered how a bike would fair on a jet at takeoff.

Great find Doc!

A Busa would have put up a better fight.

I'm glad they didn't use a Busa.

They went with more of a "Standard" street bike. The Busa's are known for drag racing, it was nice to see the R1 jump out to a commanding lead.

I can see the comments now.

Unless it was Sonic, then hell yeah. Sonic wouldn't have to worry about the jetwash, he would have been in front of any of it!

I was thinking the same thing Vash... The top end on the Porche shouldn't be much more than that R1, and I dunno if it would have been able to accelerate that fast past the R1... I think he was braking.

....we got a customer with a GT2, says he will run crotch-rockets to their top end since his lil' car tears up pavement past the 200mph mark. He has a GPS data-logged at 205mph....hmm, but Dang, gotta luv them German Engineers!

I'm not saying that the top end isn't higher, but the speed of the acceleration to his top end compared to the bike seemed odd. If that R1 was doing lets say 160mph, would the pull from that porche at 160+ really be that strong to provide that amount of acceleration past him?

At most, the porsche does 40 mph faster than the bike....does it look like he is passing him at that speed? (*I wish I could play the video from work*) If it is faster than that...then maybe the bike is slowing down.
