Thumbs up Ride: Wednesday, June 21st to AA

As always, we are meeting at the Wendy's at 14 Mile and M-5 at 7:15, leaving promptly at 7:30. Webb will lead us down to Ann Arbor and we'll eat at Mongolian BBQ.

This will be my last week of riding down here until September so I hope to see a BIG group of you guys out there!!!

****UPDATE****

Wednesday: Showers and thunderstorms - possibly strong in the afternoon. Damaging winds and large hail with some storms. High 81F. Winds SSW at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 60%.

Wednesday night: Scattered thunderstorms, some strong during the evening, then skies turning partly cloudy overnight. Damaging winds and large hail with some storms. Low 71F. Winds WSW at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 60%.

Since the weather doesn't seem to be cooperating, we are going to move this Wednesday's ride to TODAY. Same time and location. I hope we still get a big group out there today!!!

Maybe a Destination Change

Hey Jen,

Depending on who shows up and what is planned maybe we head to Plymouth or Howell for their bike nights.

See you later,
Steve

If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space.

If its a penny for your thoughts and you are putting in your two cents, hey someone's making a penny.

It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

I'll leave the decision making to you and Webb. I just follow.

Oh, here's something you guys might think is funny... I was washing my bike while listening to my iPod. The kids were "helping" by hosing it off for me. Little did I know, Patrick put the hose inside the exhaust for a few seconds. They were laughing and *because I had my iPod on* I kind of shrugged my shoulders thinking they were just having a good time. Well, I go to move my bike up the drive way and when I started it, the exhaust shot out a ton of water. It looked more like a jet ski then a bike!

The bike seems to be ok thanks to James' suggestion of letting the bike run for a few minutes to dry it out. Anyone ever run into this problem?

Sorry I missed it Jen, I got tied up and by the time I was free it was already 7 and wouldn't have been able to get there in time. So I was forced to ride to Stoney and play volleyball, followed by the patio at Cactus Jacks instead. poor me...
