Teresi Dyno Drags....Clinton Township

Wolverine HD is gonna have the drag races at thier facility June 16, 17 and 18th....I did it last year down at the honda homecoming and ran a 10.61 @127mph and 116hp....for 10 bucks you can have shitload of fun and a little bragging rights as well....yeah i know its not what your bike would do in the 1/4 but it is a level playing field so the advantages are the same for both riders....you guys should think about coming out for that one....WHD is donating half the proceeds to the Firemens Fund for families of Firemen that have Died on the job...great cause and good fun......

I did that in flint a few years back and it was fun.

Ran a 10.41 on a 97cbr600F3 the same bike ran a 10.97 on a real 1/4 mile.

They said my bike made 114 hp and it made 92hp on a regular dyno. 156mph for a top speed.

Just letting people see some numbers for comparison.

Its real hard to get REAL hp numbers while shifting the bike because there is a large peak when you let the clutch out between gears.

when you do a dyno run for hp you don't shift gears. i've NEVER heard of that. it's usually a 4th gear roll on......

Or maybe 5th gear if you have a turbo...but I don't think that's what they're talkin about are they?

I think there are two dynos side by side. Biggest HP wins? Or something like that...not really sure.

if they were going on just hp then it would be a hp shoot out. it's not like that. they put 2 dynos side by side and have a screen just like as if you were playing a game. the drum on the dyno will measure your speed and screen makes it look like your moving down the strip. it's basically a truey virtual game. obviously the faster your dyno run the faster you are down the strip determines who wins. still if you miss a shift or your slow on the take off your going to lose just like at a real track. seems prtetty cool to me.

Now I would love to see that! Problem is there wouldn't be any room to watch. Everyone and their brother would be crouding around.

I'd like to see it!
