So much for motorcycle awareness month!

Well I had my first (and hopefully the last) near death accident yesterday on my bike...

I was driving down Southfield freeway in the hammer lane and had a car come over on me. I ended up moving over to the far left side of the lane (by the yellow line), hit some rough road surface and got shot into the concrete median of the freeway at about 65 mph! Needless to say it hurt pretty bad but I managed to take the hit with my shoulder to keep the bike up. I just messed up a side rail, left mirror and my jacket sleeve. Oh well, it could have been a lot worse. I'm just thankful I didn't lay it down.

God was looking out!

Glad to see you're still around to talk about it.

Did the guy stop or did he keep going. Kept going right? This is why I ride with other people...if I saw a guy do that to a member and kept going, I'd follow the guy so I could break his face...er...I mean...so I could turn him in.

Yeah, I flagged the guy over and as soon as I got off my bike to check out the damage he took off. I should have chased after him or at least got the plate but I was still to shook up to run him down. Oh well, like I said, minimal damage...
