Help polishing airplanes

This is from another site, but they would still appreciate as many volunteers as would like to assist. (cpltrainer.com)

11th Annual Polishing Party
Saturday, April 1st
Doors open at 9:00 am
Willow Run Airport, Hangar 2


Public Invited!
The Willow Run Airport authority has allowed us to invite the public in for this one day event. Don't miss your chance to get up close and personal with these flying pieces of history!
Follow the airport signs to Hangar 2 or Zantop (our current location)
Bring a can of Mothers Mag and Aluminum Polish and plenty of soft rags
Lunch will be provided!

The Yankee Air Museum invites the public to the 11th Annual Polishing Party. Get up close and personal with the magnificent flying pieces of history of the Yankee Air Museum. The YAM's aircraft include a B-17G (photo), a B-25D and a C-47.

Bring a can of Mothers Mag and Aluminum Polish and plenty of soft rags.

Lunch will be provided for those willing to expend some elbow grease.

Follow the airport signs to Hangar 2 or Zantop, the current location of the Yankee Air Museum.

Damn, so thats how they are getting free labor these days!

Screw that.
Connie Kalitta used to like the leading edges and engine nose cowls of his DC-8s shiny. Took those guys all day to do an airplane using buffers. Glad I didn't have to do that.

Now if the YAF was offering rides in exchange for polishing.....

The whole thing with YAF is a bummer... We watched that place burn, I was at the school about 400 yards away..
So much time and money lost, the goverment is a little pissed, they housed a few loaners..

I was at Metro meeting my Mud Duck when I saw the smoke. Turned on the news and could only think about all the history in that place being lost.

I'll be out of town, it sounds interesting being so close to all that engine power...too bad we couldn't take one for a quick spin.
