TT Racing Coming to North America

http://www.newswire.ca/en/releases/a.../05/c7862.html

This article reports that real TT racing will be coming to Cape Bretton, Nova Scotia next year. This will be just like the setup on the Isle of Mann.
Interesting.

This is an interesting development as it may further substantiate reports that the Isle of Man TT & Manx GP will not be run after the 100th anniversary of the event in 2007. This new event possibly cited as a "new" location for the event rather than complete abandonment of the event.

We lost 6 racers at this year's Manx GP, a couple long-time friends. All, but 1 were very experienced at the Isle of Man and this raised even greater speculation that the event would be cancelled after it's centennial event.

Can't wait to see how this develops. It would certainly be nice to have an event like this in North America.

Well, it is over a 1500 mile bike ride to the race site in NS.
I have no idea how the weather would be around the end of Sept in that area, but I would bet pretty cold and wet!
Some fun!

Still, if they let the locals ride the race circuit on the prerace day as they do at the race in Mann, that could be lots of fun.

That would be fun to ride the track, but a 3000 mile round trip for one day of riding is a lot of effort. Flying there might be more practical.
