Rochestor Hills/Troy living?

Any northsiders want to share the pros/cons of living around there? Any good riding?
I might be moving there in the next couple months.

One good thing is that it's close to D&B's.

Thats a good thing?

You have a few good roads out that way. Orion rd. Clarkston rd. are fun. nothing major but a nice ride.

Blah. Rochester Hills and Troy are okay, but really boring. The roads are mostly straight and grid-like until you get farther north, and it's just kind of ugly over there, I think. Move to West Bloomfield/Sylvan Lake/ Orchard Lake/Keego Harbor/Commerce/Walled Lake/Waterford instead. They are much prettier, with lots of lakes trees and sometimes interesting roads. I live in West Bloomfield and I actually really like it.

hes right about Rochester until you get on the far North side. Troy is GHEY.. nothing but busy streets and lots of traffic. Bloomfield is nice but kinda expensive and the cops are pricks. Walled lake/Waterford has some great back roads but its not easy getting around because everything over there goes in circles (ie around the lakes) If I could pick anyplace to relocate in Detroit at this time it would be towards Salem Twp. West of Plymouth, canton. There are several other nice communites that you can still get some land. You are a moment away from the freeway and city life but you can still enjoy the Saline/Ann Arbor roads. anyway.. good luck ..
