Screwed On Spark Plugs

Hey Everyone!
Just thought I would get your opinions on this matter.
Last saturday GPZrider(Gary) was going to the Anderson Cycle
open house and asked me if I'd like to go along. I thought why not? I was curious to see some of the new models up close in person, plus my VFR was in need of some new spark plugs. So I hopped in the car and met Gary at 1:30. The place was packed
with people! They did a really nice job too; free pop, 25 cent hot dogs, even dirtbike racing in the back service area. EVERYTHING
was "On Sale"; One of the sales guys came over and told us that
all the pricetags on the bikes included shipping/destinantion charges, but "today" they would drop those fees off the ticket.
WOW! What a deal! And that wasn't all! After we walked around and checked out bikes, jackets, helmets and all that good stuff,(ALL on sale) we made it to the parts counter, and VIOLA! Signs posted screaming "Special for Open House - 15% off all parts!" -
This just keeps getting better and better! So I hopped in line, waited my turn, then asked the friendly, helpfull sales person to get me 4 (four) shiney, new NGK's for my trusty Honda
VFR. He dissapeared for a minute or two, which concerned me for a moment; "What if they are out of stock?!?!?" To my delight, the salesperson returned with four; count 'em! four bright red
NGK/HONDA boxes containing the spark plugs which would soon fire up my hibernating 2 wheeler. But the smile went away from my face as he gave me the total price; $34.00 -
I should have told them to jam them in their asses, but I really wanted to ride Saturday and Sunday and my current plugs were fouled out due to a prematurely clogged air filter. These particular plugs weren't available at Kmart or the local auto parts store, so I had to eat it. THIRTY FOUR BUCKS FOR FOUR LOUSY SPARK PLUGS! And that was INCLUDING THE 15% DISCOUNT! Yahoo.
I should open up an online store that just sells spark plugs for bikes. I could sell them for half of that and still make a profit!
Coming soon; www.plugthis.com

What a deal. I would hate to see their regular prices.

That sounds about right, plugs for my last Honda were about $9 a piece.

15% off is only 4.50 so that is about right. Plugs are about $10 a pop

Maybe if you replaced your plugs more frequently than every 10 years it wouldn't have been such a shock.

Plugs, Fluids, and Filters are areas I wouldn't compromise on for a few bucks.
