Cool

The Deal's Gap to the Cherohala Skyway in North Carolina has got to be in the top 5 of best motorcycle routes in the coutnry.

Deal's Gap houses 318 mountain curves that are jammed packed into 11 miles!!! Its an unreal experience and sportbikes, cruisers, you name it, all take advantage of this awesome route.

They don't call it the Dragon for nothing.

I am headed down to Deals Gap May 10-15 with 9 other members of SRNE (Sport Riders of New England). We rented a house in the area and plan on doing a group tour of the whole area... I have some maps and rides already routed out with Gas-stops and food stops along the way. From what I hear the riding is INCREDIBLE there.

Anyone who wants to know more about the area can visit the following 2 URL's (which I found to be the best for info and trip planning)

If anyone is going to be in the area the same dates I am and wants to meet up and ride with us drop me an e-mail! (Squids need not apply).

Thumbs up The Gap

RCJohn and I were there this past Saturday. The traffic was very light, and not too many riders. The weather was excellent, and the riding even better!

In the 6 hour span that we were there, 4 bikes were "bitten" by the dragon.

If anybody would like to hook-up on a weekend, let me know.

Cool Man Alive!!!

You guys are making me want to go right now!! I'm supposed to be going to Road Atlanta May 18-20 but all this talk about the Gap is making me want to go there instead. I know I'm going for sure in September, and I was gonna try to make it in June but I want to go now!!

So what should I do?....Go to Road Atlanta and hit the Gap in June and September or skip Raod Atlanta and go to the Gap in May and September?

By the way "Gap 2001" is May 4th!! Its one of the biggest Motorcycle gatherings of the year at the Gap. But I've been told the cops are heavy that weekend and I've also read the story where this one cop was on a ZX-9R with a video camera on his helmet and busted alot of riders with the video tape. Just watch yourselves!!
