Delaware

Rt. 100 on the Delaware Pennsylvania border has lots of tight turns and scenic views. It runs along Brandywine Creek. No cops because DE and PA don't have cops (It seems anyway). The only problem is lots of blind curves with unsuspecting furry animals.

How about US191 (formerly 666) in Eastern AZ from Springerville to Safford. Mix of desert heat and mountain cool plus twisties. Even in the dark it was fun!

US191 in AZ - Coronado Trail

The last poster misnamed the road - it's the Coronado Trail from Safford to Eagar, and it has got to be one of the best in the nation.

Come to AZ! We're not ALL Saguaro and (dry) heat...

Hwy 88 (Tortilla Flats to Roosevelt) is only fun on weekday mornings - once in a blue moon you get a clear shot from Goldfield to the pavement ending. Last Saturday, I hit the first curves at first light, and only got stuck behind one doofus in a F250 pulling a boat for the stretch up to Canyon Lake - then the rest was WFO.

I do this route about twice a month - but I've noticed it seems to unnerve some people, all those sheer cliffs and no guard rails. Tsk tsk.
