Southeast Ohio

Route 555 riding south from Zanesville to ... err... the end and then turn round and ride back..

Route 676 Bartlett to Marietta..

Route 26 Marietta to Woodsfield

Route 56 through Hocking Hills

Route 78 from Logan to Woodsfield

All of these roads are very challenging twisty roads requiring intense concentration and longer than usual attention spans...

Not for the inexperienced.

Cheers, Bill (BamBam)

Definitely some choice roads to ride. If you are inexperienced, do not try to keep up with the faster guys!! I will be riding some of those next Thursday and Friday.

KNEE DOWN FINGER UP!!!!

That will buff out!!

Any chance you'll be in Ohio on Sunday?? There's a breakfast meeting near Columbus for the Sporbikes.net folk and then afterward a few of us will be hitting these roads..

Cheers, Bill (BamBam)

Some of the best roads!!!!

and as mentioned before, don't try to keep up with the faster people. There are no tropies to win!

We had one guy go down on Rt 26 and it took the ambulance 25 minutes to show AFTER we called. It took ten minutes to make that call 'cuz there is no cellar service around there. And I'm not even going to get into the fact the closest hospital is 35 miles away, using slow twisty backroads. He was really hurting by the time he got to the ER

I'm buying a new tire soon. I should be up for a ride next weekend.

I know what you mean about 26. I went down there 4 1/2 yrs ago. Speed + turn + gravel = helmet + guardrail = concussion. My helmet hit the steel hard enough to crack it 4 inches log, and I laid there unconscious for a while before anyone found me. Very scary.

Anyone wanna trade a good sportbike for a real nice cruiser?????

rt 26

I live in Marietta, and ride these roads all the time. We had a newbie go down earlier this year on a RC 51. they let him lead for some stupid reason. Bikes totaled and he broke a few bones. Hey Bam Bam I saw you guy from core riding this November on rt 676. You where coming in to Marietta. I was the moron on the scooter. The Aprilia RSV was getting a tune up.

I really dig 26. My favorite in this area is the run that is 550 from Marietta to Athens, 33 out of Athens to Pomeroy, then 124 from Pomeroy thru Little Hocking. Great roads!

Hey Fedler, you oughta come ride with my friends and I sometime. We are just down in Parkersburg.

You will refer to me as IDIOT, not YOU CAPTAIN!

Thats not exactly right, we didn't have him leading. I pulled over to count heads and he had a few people still in front of him.
Was fun running my truck out to get his bike though!!!
