Western Canadian suggestions?

I'll be spending a week in the Okanogan Lake region in BC, as well as running out to the Rockies from Edmonton (home) as much as possible.

Sooo... can anyone suggest some daytrips in either central BC or the Rockies?

Thanks in advance.

When will you be heading out there? I hope to get out there twice this summer.

The road from Kelowna to Rock Creek to Osoyoos is great. Actually anyway you can to avoid the Yellowhead or the Trans Canada (especially) is worth it. Consider taking the southern route, over Nelson & Grand Forks, that's what my plan is for this summer.

I'll be in the Okanogan area between the 14-20 of June, give or take. I'll also be running out to Van to ride Duffy Lake Road near Whistler. If you wanna hook up, email me at [email protected]

June's out for me, I'll be out there in July (twice), Aug (Sportbikewest.....I hope), and Sept.

As for rides in the Rockies, when in Jasper try the roads to Malainge (sp?) Lake, the road up to Marmot, or the road to Miette Hot Springs. Of course there's the Jasper/Banff hwy. Not too technical, but absolutely beautiful ( I plan on doing this next weekend to break my wife into the new bike. ).

Do you come out to the local meets (Tim Hortons on Whyte Ave in Edmonton, or Soda Jerks in St Albert)?
