Phoenix, AZ Area Ride Suggestions?

OK...aside from the Big 5 Rides...(not including SR 191)

1. Skull Valley / Hillside (Rt. 97/96)
2. Yarnell - White Spars to Prescott
3. Oak Creek Canyon and Mingus Mountain/Jerome
4. Salt River Canyon
5. Canyon Lake (or Bartlett Lake for that matter)

Anyone got any secret twistie spots they can share? Let's pony up and spread the wealth of knowledge here!!! I keep checking out these little roads in the area on my map software, but I can't tell if they are paved or not...

What we have here, is a failure to communicate...

well, right in the center of Phx/tempe/scottsdale, we got Galvin. Then there are the twin ramps of 143. I live right by there, so they are great little turns to hit up when I'm bored. The road up to South mountain is pretty twisty, but the asphalt is bad, the turns are blind, the traffic sucks, There's a lot of rangers, and there is only one way out. thats all my ideas.

The road between Superior and Winkleman through Ray Mines is cool. Kinda like the road between Globe/Miami and Roosevelt Lake Br.

You might try the road to Payson (87), then up to Pine, Strawberry and over to Camp Verde across the Rim. Home on I-17, or turn around and come back the way you came.

I don't know the condition of 88, the road to Roosevelt Lake and 188, Roosevelt Lake north. It might be fun if its paved, clean and empty.

I agree with Elo, if the road was in better shape, and the snowbirds were not around... the road to the top of south mountain is pretty cool, in my opinion.

The best twisties I've found are a few hours away outside Indio Cali, they run simalar to the ones going down into tortilla flats. However the turns don't double apex as much and traffic is much less. The main road going into lake Pleasent isn't too bad, just watch out for rangers. Far as low populated riding area in phoenix goes i'm still looking. Anyone has any ideas please share. Thanks.
