Good NJ routes? Morris county,Essex,Union

What are some low traffic resonably fast routes in these counties, or and NJ counties for that matter. The only thing I don't like about some NJ areas (including my town), are the deer that chill in the roadways. I need to get a deer whistle, eh?

Not much I ever found in NJ. Check out Bear Mtn in Harriman State Park (NY). AWESOME roads around the lakes. From Union it should only take an hour or so. If you go on a weekend, you can shoot over to Marcus Dairy (sp) in Conn. When I used to go there (early 90's), they'd get several hundred, if not thousand, bikes on a good Sunday.

Is there alot of motorhome/trailer/ tourist traffic on those routes during the summer months? Just curious. It seems that around here, all the good roads are covered with sightseeing tourists on the weekends. Kinda' sucks, but it makes for interesting passes in the tight stuff!

Oh yeah, and don't get me started about Harley's on these roads.

As far as the tourists, it really just depends on the day. I haven't been there in almost 10 years, so I don't know if the area has been developed more. We never really had much of a problem with traffic, although I wouldn't recommend hugging the line in the blind left handers. You do get the occasional motorhome who thinks the road is made for him alone.

As for the Harley's, we just go around them while they're stopped on the side of the road, fixing their bikes.

Try......................

The last time I was in N.J. I had a great time at Highpoint State Park in Sussex County off of US206. I was there this past September, mid-week, there wasnt ANY traffic at all. I dont know how it is on the weekends. Have Fun................
