ever happened to you???

any one ever been going down the road with 2 cops behind you doing 40 mph, and for some reason your tailpipe falls off???

there i was minding my own buisness, had 2 cops on my 6, so i was just cruisin, i down shifted and soon as i let my clutch out, my bike was all of a sudden LOUD AS HELL!!! (brad dont have shit on this maddness!!) so i look done to see my pipe danglin.....it was attached at the rear hangar, but came apart where the canister mounts the the exhaust pipe......i thought for sure my packing and muffler flew out, so i pull over and look at what happened, nothing came out it is all there, all i got to do is drill out the rivets holding the band on and pu it all back together......

just scared the hell out of me, i thought i blew half the engine off or something.

might be a sign that some routine maintenance is about due...

or you could always wait until your wheels fall off, and then decide to tighten some stuff down :-)

I did see a short video on the net a while back where a guy did a stoppie and when he landed his can just fell on the ground, I think I would be too embarrassed to even pick it up.

My first bike, an old beemer with twin pipes dropped one at 120mph, I removed the other and never put anything bake on it.
