I took some pics of the "tree of shame, and a lot of pain" at Deal's Gap this past weekend..... I case you have never seen this tree, it is a tradition to place a piece of your broken motorcycle on the tree if you are bitten by the Dragon.
Leon TLR, Gummo, Gr8whytehunter and myself are headed to The Gap this weekend. The plan, of course, will be to see the Tree of Shame and avoid contributing to it
Deal's Gap or "The Dragon's Tail" as it's called is an 11 mile road in Tennessee with 318 curves in it. That's right, 318 curves in 11 miles. Uphill and downhill, decreasing radius, hairpin, you name it, it has it. That is what people are crashing their bikes into/off of. I have never been there yet myself, but it's considered to be the ultimate motorcycling area in the States. Very dangerous if you are not used to such extreme rides.
Just got back from the gap this past week end there were some parts of bikes that used to be really nice and several people added to it that week end I wasn'tone of them
With the number of contributors of late Rob may have to start a forest of shame. The one tree has about all it can hold now.
