Trackday near Nashville?

Does anyone know the best best track to go to near Nashville? Is anybody here from the Nashville area? New to the forums. Just wondering.

They have track days at Nashville Superspeedway also at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, AL and also at Talledega GP in Talledega, AL. Those are the closest. Tally is where more of them are at. That track is being redone this winter due to a highway project there. Should make for an interesting track.

There is a group hoping to turn part of the old DoE K-25 weapons facility in Oak Ridge, TN into a roadracing facility by 2009. Hopefully that works out.

Then there's VIR near Danville Va. Further up 81 is Summit Point near Charles Town WV.

Thanks guys for the help. Does anyone know how the trackdays at the Nashville SuperSpeedway are? Also, just a note, the roads suck around here. I'm from East TN where the roads are great.

Look at the bright side, you aren't that far from East TN.

I've not done a trackday or ridden at Nashville. The team I crew chief for some has ridden there. They don't really like it much but they are very fast riders and safety becomes a big issue at their pace. For a trackday I would think it's a decent place.
