Can anyone tell me about the track, LSTD and how they operate, etc.

Just looking for a little feed back.

P.S. Vash, you think you can make that one, it is on the same day as Hallett, i was goin anyway and the distance is about the same for me, so i think i'll just go to the ranch and try it out, Hope you can make it.

Ok I'll book it. which group do you want to go for? I'm thinking B myself.
As for the track itself what do you need to know? The thing I really like about it is that it has very short streights, so shifting is almost unnesesary. 2nd gear only taped the rev limiter at the end of one streight, I laid off it then, couse I wasnt out to set a lap record. The thing to watch out for are 2 off camber corners, and a very tight chicane at the end of the longest streight. When I was there we ran it backwords, so it wasnt an issue, but I can see that being a particulalry terrifying part.

Anyone else coming?

I'll prob bring about 6 peeps, with me. We will prob get into the DFW area sometime early sunday evening, and stay in dallas sun night. Correct me if i'm wrong, but the track is only about 20 min from dallas?

I usually go for the race group,(A) but being a new track i'll prob go B, they told me on the phone that if i was gettin held up to much from slower riders, i could change to A.

Are you gonna stay in the DFW area sun night, i can't remember ho far away you live from Dallas, we usually go out to eat and maybe a couple of drinks and some hangin out, so let me know if you'll be around sun night.

P.S. as of now its pretty much set, i'll let ya know if anything changes.

Later

The track is closer to ft. worth than dallas. Its in a place called cressen (sp?) which is basically part of the metroplex. I was planning to stay sunday night there becouse hotel rates are cheaper. So drinks and dinner are definetly in order. I live about 4 hours from dallas so traveling on sunday morning is out of the question. There is a guy on the board named dago, whom I met at that track a few months ago. I'll see if he wants to go along. I was hoping to get some race fairings before my next time out, but I dont think thats going to happen. Oh well.

Are your friends all kawi haters too?

LOL, i'm no kawi hater, just pro suzi! As a matter of a fact, one guy that goes with us sometime's rides a 636, but not sure if he's gonna go this time or not. One guy on an R6, one with an R1, and mostly suzi's after that.

We will have to get together closer to the date, and get together for some eats, and drinks in Ft Worth, all the guys that go with me are great guys, 2 of them work at local dealerships, (1 at suzuki, 1 at yamaha) All and all we are a pretty down to earth bunch of guys, aging between 22 and 35.

Talk at ya later, i'll keep ya posted on how many is goin.

P.S. all others who read this and may be goin, give a shout out.

I may not know everything about somethings, but i know something about everything!
