WERA racing costs???

Ok, Assuming I have the basic bike(a 1990 or pre), what would the costs be to start racing? I would need to get the bike race ready, get the license, pay for the lap timer(either buy or rent), etc. This does not include the trailer I woulf need as well to get the bike to the track or other misc expenses. Others have said it would cost a lot... how much is a lot???

wera costs

once your bike is completely ready and you have the liscense and trailer and anything else you need to take, if you do roughly 3 classes of racing both sat and sun, cost of 2 sets of tires and hotels and food and entry fees figure about $1000 or so, obviously tires being your biggest expanse.

Every one has posted correctly!

For one WHOLE season it will cost about $15,000. That's extreme but if you want to do it right (tires, brakes etc.) your gonna pay!

Then there's people like me! I use tires more than once and for more than one event..... I'm cheap!

On average, 100 people choke to death on ballpoint pens every year.
