Went to my first GP and yes it's the s**t
Hope you guys catch the Germany/Sachsenring MotoGP/250/125 races on Speedvision this week, I was there and it ROCKED. We have got to get the GP coming back to the states because you've really got to see it to believe it. And WHEN it comes back it better be well attended so it keeps coming back. Let's cross our fingers for Laguna Seca next year like it's rumored????????????
We had seats on the 8th row midway from turn 1 to turn 2 so we got to see them braking out of the 200mph front straight into a 180 degree corner, UFB!!!!! And not to sound like a NASCAR fan but there were some interresting crashes including Capirrossi (sp) right in front of us with his "almost high-side to a low side" move (I think, you guys probably got to see it a lot better in replay than I did live). Too bad both Ducati's crashed out. Nickey looked great and it was fun to have Colin and the rest of the American riders to chear on and root for on foreign soil.
Anyway, hope to see you all at the American GP next year. I'll be there if I have to quit my job to get the time off.
I should be back in CA by the middle of August and hope to get my race season started finally. I was planning for my first season with CCS since it sounded fun to go to different tracks but with my deployment blowing the first half of the season I'll probably just do the Willow Springs Motorcycle Club. So hopefully by Sept I'll have some threads on here about my new racer school experience and first races too.
PS, I'll post some pics of the GP if I can find a computer to download to.
