fluid catch pan

To comply with CCS regulations " all 4 stroke machines must be equipped with a fluid catch pan of sufficient size and heat resistant material to contain the contents of the crankcases in the event of an engine failure. minimum capacity must be 3 quarts." Can anyone provide some guidance in fabricating such a device. Does it go between the engine and pipes? Below the pipes along the inside of the fairing?
I have a 93 CBR 600

Thanks

get some fiberglass racing fairings you can get street legal ones with headlight cutouts, the lowwer fairing is onepeice and will hold usually 4 qts of fluid. Usually you have to buy both the upper and the lowwer because the racing fairings have different joints/seams than the stock plastic. You should be able to get a set new for like $600 try http://www.sharkskinz.com/

Is a catch pan required for track days also, or just racing?
