What do I need to do to get started in armature racing?

Well guy what do you think? Let me know as far as equipment, training, fees etc.

That is way too much info to even try and post in a thread. I currently race with an organization called
WERA . Another racing organization I know of is CCS . You can go to either one of these sites and find all the info you need for prepping your bike, what classes you can run and with what bikes, fees, memberships etc etc.

Training wise pretty much depends on your current abilities/skills in riding and how much money you want to spend. It is always recommended to take some of the riding school offered out there. Just do a search for them on the internet. Then do track days after that to practice what you have learned.

That should get you going and at least allow you to ask more specific questions.

Also just go to your local track or to a track close to you. Get some seat time. Talk to other guys and girls you meet there, because most tracks have a good race/track school.
