Lightbulb I need some advise:

I need to research the "in's n out's" of building a road track. I live in an area that has some canyons but nothing to let loose on. I want this for a personal track at first, then later open to the public for bikes & cars.

Some of what I know so far:

Location (proper zone), insurance, design, whole lotta $$$$$,

but, does anyone know what type of company to use to lay the asphault? Should I use the city or a private company to do this or does anyone know of anyone else in the racing industry that might have some advise?

help?

Great idea if you have the time and the money to do this. I know is the pavement that they use for public roads is not the same as the pavement used for tracks. Track pavement has a lot more flex in it and it has to withstand the punishment of racing conditions. Contact new tracks like BeaverRun (PA) or Barber (Georgia) to see who thay used and if they can recommend a local paving company.

Good luck.
