NESBA, MADOC, and Summit Point Raceway to Hold Charity Track Day

Washington, D.C. (July 10)-The Northeast Sportbike Association (NESBA),
Mid-Atlantic Ducati Owners Club (MADOC), and Summit Point Raceway will
be holding a charity track day on August 21, 2002 at the Summit Point
main course, Summit Point, W.V. All event proceeds will go to South
Jefferson Elementary.

Riders of all skill levels with any make of motorcycle are welcome to
sign up and experience the thrill of riding on the racetrack-a safe, and
controlled alternative to the street. If that isn't reason enough to
sign up, they can also feel good about contributing to a very worthwhile
cause.

"We are very excited about our involvement in this event," said David
Terry, events coordinator of MADOC. "Our club is viewing this as the
first in what will hopefully become an annual event. We are also
privileged to be working with two such great organizations as NESBA and Summit
Point Raceway. We would like to encourage all riders to come down to
beautiful West Virginia and experience the challenging main track. In
particular, we would like to see lots of Ducati's and other Italian
motorcycles."

MADOC is a private club of Ducati enthusiasts in the Washington D.C.
area, but a Ducati is not needed to join or ride with the club. It holds
rides least once a month and many members participate in track days.
For more information on MADOC, visit www.mad-ducati.com.

NESBA is a nonprofit organization that sponsors track days across the
country to get riders off the street and give them safe riding
instruction. This track day will be run as NESBA's events do, with riders
grouped by skill level: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Control riders
will be present to offer instruction and guidance. In addition, a
raffle for lots of great prizes will be held during the lunch break. For
this event, NESBA is waiving its membership fee, so if you have never been
on the track, now is a great time to try it. The event will cost
$150.00, we will not be providing lunch.

"It should be a great time for both street riders and experienced
racers. Not only can you get track time, but you can help South Jefferson
Elementary while you ride," said Bob Blandford, NESBA president. "We're
happy to be helping with this event."

Summit Point will be hosting the event and will be donating all
services for the event.

Summit Point Raceway is a challenging 10-turn, two mile asphalt road
racing circuit set in the pastoral Shenandoah Valley, located only 70
miles from the Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, Md. metropolitan areas. The
course combines slow and fast bends, with a 3,000 ft. straightaway and
considerable vertical relief. It is one of the most challenging
circuits in the nation. Motor sports events occur every weekend from March
through November, with various BSR schools occupying weekdays.

To sign up for this charity event, go to www.nesba.com or call
1-877-AT-NESBA.
