Josh (tt_four) has one on his Speed Four, he used it once when we rode this past summer, but he just made a mount for it to use it for some long trips this summer. I`ll talk to him later tonight and try to get the pics off him, or you can PM him.

Look . . . the people you are after are the people you depend on. We cook your meals, we haul your trash, we connect your calls, we drive your ambulances, we guard you while you sleep. Do not fu|< with us.

I know Bluto uses a Garmin which he bought at gpscity.com. From there he bought the mount and other goodies. He also hard wired a connection from the battery. So now it is mounted an runs on a power cord rather than a battery. Check out his link...http://homepage.mac.com/charles_kink...oAlbum24.html.

I am going to get one, but am having a hard time trying to find a place to mount it on my Duc.

i have my magellan 330 i put on my bike when i want to get lost and find my way back, or when i'm going some place new and need a nice map to find my way.

i made an aluminum bracket that is zip tied to my triple clamp on the right side.

i use velcro strap to hold it in the bracket, and it doesn't go any where.

it has come in handy many many times and works wonderfully.

One mounting solution.
Maybe you can get a small tank bag and mount the GPS unit to the bag. Then you can take it with you when you stop or to explore parks and such.

I have one that has made it's way through a few bikes. I use various RAM mounting componets to mount it. http://www.gpscity.com has GPS units and RAM mount hardware.

Here is how I had it set up on my VFR...

Talking Re: GPS

I have a 2003 SV1000S. I'm using a Garmin Street Pilot III on my bike. I use a combination of mounts. I'm using a R.A.M. mount with a Touratech lockable mount on top of it. The touratech offers some vibration damping and a quick release. The power for the unit is provided via my tank bag with a powerlet incorporated into it. I love the thing. I did have to make a sunvisor for it as with the color screen bright sunlight tends to wash it out .
