Yamaha announces '04 FJR1300

Yamaha has announced the 2004 FJR1300. Though basically unchanged from its 2003 debut specifications, the '04 will have larger front rotors, a taller windscreen, and optional ABS. As they did for the '03, they're taking deposits to guarantee delivery.

Looks good, I have a question if it's more comfortable than my 2002 FZ1? I just did 4 hours on the FZ1 and I was in pain. My butt was sore and my legs were killing me. I ended up having to lay down with my feet on the back pegs for the last hour before i finally got comfortable.

That settles it, after I buy the truck at the end of the year. I'm buying another bike!

Doubt it. We only get one color a year on this side of the pond.

It's just the way it is. Our 2003 model was actually their 2002 model and I had to choose silver. In Europe and Australia, they could get silver, black, blue or deep red. I am sure it has to due with not investing too much money in the American market for a narrow segment of riders, sport tourers. I think it is crazy since they sold more 2003's than they expected. Luckily, silver would have been my choice anyway.

I'm seriously considering picking up an FJR. Just need to ride it (lined up) and find one if I like it. That's the hard part. I don't like the dark silver this year. I'm hoping for that dark blue above for the next year. Drool!!
