Givi has hard bags for almost any bike. I have a universal mounting rack (Wingrack) for my 'Bird and 2 E360 bags, plus I'll be getting an E52 Tailtrunk for a total of 124 litres of space. This all fits without having to cut holes in my bike.....just replace 8 bolts. The Givi system is by far the most practical. The bags snap off the bike and you use them like real luggage when you get to your destination.
Unfortunatly, I think they're ugly. but if that bothers you you can take it off in about 20 minutes. Me I leave the rack on, and I usually use one of the E360 bags as a tail trunk.....it's big enough for me to lock my helmet in (as an added bonus the tailtrunk works as a backrest for your passenger.
I'd rate the Givi system as 9-1/2 out of 10.
